Season 2 of Laughs may no longer be accepting submissions, but the deadline to apply to the industry-darling Bridgetown Comedy Festival is swiftly approaching. Applications for the Portland fest are due by January 31st.
Every spring, Bridgetown brings together the freshest voices in stand-up comedy for showcases, podcasts, panels and improv. The festival, created by comedians Andy Wood, Matt Brauger, and comedy fan Kim Brady, is in its 9th year. The event’s history features a who’s-who in stand up comedy with names like Patton Oswald, Reggie Watts, Tig Nataro, Kristen Schaal, Ron Funches and too many more to list.
If you’re planning to attend, be sure to mark your calendars for June 1-5. If you’re hoping to perform, make sure you get your submission entered no later than January 31st. Best of luck!
